My model was bought 7 years ago when I was pregnant with DS, so it's an old one, but my children both fitted in fine as toddlers so I can't imagine that the harness is too small for a 5 month old. The harness is just attached at either side of the baby's hips. I have this pram, the shoulder straps don't come through from the back of the pram by the shoulders.
